Participation in CPA affairs is regarded as an integral part of being a professional. Ellin & Tucker highly encourages its professionals to become members of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). As an added incentive, Ellin & Tucker pays for membership dues with both organizations.
Professional staff entering the firm are assigned a Level 1 mentor. The goal of the Level 1 mentor is to help transition the new professional into the firm not only through the technical process but also by helping him/her become an integrated member of Ellin & Tucker.
Within the first three months of employment, a Level 2 mentor will be selected. The Level 2 mentor is a professional staff member, usually holding a management position or higher. Mentoring sessions focus on developing long-term goals, setting objectives and the professional development of the new professional.
We issue a computer to every staff member on the first day of the job. Employees have access to high speed Internet, remote access server technology, high-end peripherals and application software, and a highly skilled in-house technology support team.
